Jezera was named after numerous puddles in karst valleys which are made by rain.
However, during summer tourists do not think about rain, because Jezera offers a lot of  sun, the clear sea and a bay with a beautiful beach, which are all pre-conditions for a peaceful and pleasant vacation. The lovers of fish delicacies will particulary enjoy, because fresh fish is the part of everyday menu here. During summer months there is also a sailing school. Jezera is one of the starting sailing spots for the Kornati Islands. Accommodation: apartments, rooms, campsite Lovisca (II). The ACI marina Jezera has 220 berths in the sea and 60 spots on the land. It is open all the year round.

Jezera is a place and port in the bay with the same name on the north-eastern coast of the Island of Murter. Its economic base is represented by agriculture, wine-growing, olive-growing, fishing and tourism. On the north-eastern coast of the Island of Murter, in the southern part of the bay with the same name there is the Jezera Nautical Center with a marina. Jezera is connected to the Zadar-Šibenik highway by the regional road.
