The Kornati Islands represent the most indented island group in the whole Mediterranean and they are placed in the Northern Dalmatia, not far from Šibenik.

This true labyrinth of the sea and stone consists of 140 uninhabited islands, islets and cliffs with the area of only 70 square kilometres.

In the close surroundings of the NP Kornati, which comprises the majority of the islands with the neighbouring sea, there is another protected natural pearl – the Nature Park Telascica.

It includes a wide and deep bay on the neighbouring Dugi Island, where there are also many beautiful islets and a small salty lake next to the sea.

The Kornati Islands stand out for their numerous bizarre shapes, unusual relief structures and especially for their high cliffs.

However, the highest cliff is on the Dugi Island in the Nature Park Telašćica and it is 180 m high.

The Kornati Islands are one of the most popular nautical destinations in the Adriatic Sea. Therefore, it is not unusual that there are ten marinas in the nearby.
